Clinical laboratory testing plays a crucial role in the detection, diagnosis, and treatment of disease. Clinical laboratory technologists and technicians, also known as medical technologists and technicians, perform most of these tests. Students complete three years of selected biology courses within the Department, and the fourth year, or clinical phase, is provided at an affiliated school of medical technology.
