Are you looking for ways to gain experience and skills in your major and chosen field? Consider volunteering in Peer Career as a Career Guide.
Are you seeking a major that will result in a fast growing occupation? Due to a downturn in the economy, we often get questions in Peer Career such as “Will I be able to find a job when I graduate,” or “What are the best fields to go into to guarantee a job when I graduate?” The answer to both of these questions is that there is no guarantee that anyone will have a job when they graduate. There are many factors that can determine your job search success including gaining experience through clubs, organizations, work, volunteer and internships; expanding your job searching geographically (in other words not planning to only work in NC); and utilizing the Career Development Center.
So you have decided on a Major. . .That’s great! Then your mind starts to wonder, what can I do with this major?
